GLEEN is a not-for-profit agency working in partnership with local authorities and social landlords to promote home energy efficiency and affordable warmth.  Set up by local authorities for local authorities, we work with our partners to identify needs specific to their sector, and then develop projects and services to support them.

GLEEN seeks to work with local authorities and other partners to:

• Develop ideas into practical solutions
• Assist in funding submissions for projects
• Establish effective partnerships
• Manage projects for local authorities
• Facilitate information exchange

In 2008, in response to the new government obligation to provide Energy Performance Certificates to new social housing tenants, GLEEN worked with a range of social landlords to develop EPC Manager, and now produces Certificates to a quarter of London's social housing.
